Mexican Nachos

Ingredients:

  • 200g tortilla chips
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup black beans (cooked)
  • 1/2 cup salsa (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup guacamole
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 jalapeño (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup fresh tomatoes (diced)
  • 1/4 cup red onions (diced)
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Arrange the tortilla chips on a large baking sheet.

2. Layer the Nachos:

Sprinkle black beans evenly over the chips. Generously sprinkle shredded cheese over the beans and chips.

3. Bake the Nachos:

Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

4. Add the Toppings:

Remove from the oven and top with salsa, guacamole, sour cream, diced tomatoes, jalapeño slices, and red onions. Garnish with fresh cilantro.

5. Serve:

Serve hot with lime wedges on the side.

Tips:

  • For extra flavor, add cooked ground beef or grilled chicken to the nachos before baking.
  • Customize your nachos with toppings like corn, black olives, or hot sauce.
